As Director Nursing II- Surgical Services, you are responsible for ensuring the best possible patient care across surgical, procedural and perianesthesia departments. You will provide direction for daily operations, drive improvement initiatives, assure regulatory readiness, support shared governance, and collaborate across many multi-disciplinary teams. As the Director Nursing II- Surgical Services, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing perioperative, perianesthesia, and procedural locations at both Weston Hospital and Coral Springs Ambulatory Surgery Center. Weston Hospital provides care to patients undergoing Transplant, Robotics, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, General, Gynecology, Urology, Head and Neck, Plastics, and Pain Management surgeries as well as Endoscopy and Invasive Cardiology procedures. Coral Springs ASC is a dynamic, multi-specialty ASC that provides surgical and procedural care, including our outpatient Joint Replacement program.

Caregivers in this role are salaried/exempt and work primarily days Monday-Friday. At times, this position requires flexibility in accordance with the needs of the department.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Assistwith direction,coordinationand management of all nursing areas.

  • Provide supervision and act as a resource to nurse managers, educators, clinical specialists, and staff.

  • Collaborate with leadership teamregardingbudget review, personnel management, monitoring of productivity and staff development.

  • Ensure communication,cooperationand understanding among staff.

  • Monitor adherence to CC and Nursing Institute policies and procedures.

  • Promote ongoing professional development of staff at all levels.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • BSN withMaster'sdegree

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Four years of recent clinical experience

  • One year of health care management experience

  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and takeappropriate action

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Clinical experience in perioperative, procedural, and/or perianesthesia nursing.

  • Specialty certification in OR, pre/post, or procedural nursing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.

  • Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

  • Note: The constantstress and strainofmaintaininga productionratepace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Followsstandard precautions using personal protective equipment asrequired.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $118,960.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $190,360.00

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
