Tradition Hospital’s 3rd Floor Surgical Telemetry Unitspecializes inmedical monitoringfordiversepost-operativepopulations, including thoserecoveringfromgallbladder removals, spinalsurgeriesornervepain.As a Clinical Technician on this team, you willassistwith basic patient care,maintainroomcleanlinessanddemonstrateempathy and compassion in all activities and interactions.Ultimately, yourefforts play a direct role in our mission to continuously provide the best healthcare experience possible to everyone within the Cleveland Clinicsystem.

A caregiver in this position worksnights from 6:00PM – 6:30AM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide orassistwith patient care under the supervision of an RN. Patient care may include vital signs, weight,assistingpatients with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices, further technical skills of phlebotomy andinserting urinary Foley catheter.

• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical,mentaland emotional conditions to an RN.

• Assistwith keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.

• Complete an internal training program within two weeks of start date.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon or within new hire period

• Nursing students:Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificationrequiredprior to hire

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of recent, full-time patient care experience ORadditionaleducation/training OR nursing student with at least one completed clinical rotation as part of an accredited Nursing School Program OR military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) ORadditionaleducation/training (e.g., mental health)
