The Manager, Inpatient Pharmacy oversees inpatient pharmacy operations at Marymount Hospital, supporting general inpatient service lines including Med/Surg and behavioral health populations. Based on the first floor of the hospital, this leadership role provides operational oversight for approximately 30 FTEs, including pharmacy technicians, night shift pharmacists, and operational pharmacist staff, while partnering closely with clinical leadership to support coordinated patient care and pharmacy services. This role is responsible for managing daily pharmacy operations and workflow efficiency, including technician scheduling, leading department huddles, and facilitating Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives. The manager plays a key role in supporting operational excellence, team engagement, and effective collaboration across the inpatient pharmacy environment.

A caregiver in this role will Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with no weekends and no holidays. Further work requirements may be required based on facility staffing needs.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Identifyand meet patientneedsutilizingcontinuous process improvement techniques.
  • Identifyand propose practical solutions to technical, professional,personnelor procedural problems affecting daily workflow.
  • Ensure the department is adequately staffed withproperly trainedpersonnel.
  • Establish work assignments and schedules.
  • Participate in the development of operational and clinical program activities.
  • Promote and develop the clinical activities of pharmacy caregivers through counseling,trainingand teaching.
  • Train and instruct caregivers as to their duties.
  • Coordinate orientation and training of new caregivers in job functions and responsibilities.
  • Monitorfinancialsand other pertinent statistics.
  • Assistwith evaluations of financial performance.
  • Maintain records of narcotics, poisons, and habit-forming drugs receivedin accordance withstate and federal laws.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within90 daysof hire
  • Completion of a health-system Pharmacy Administration or Leadership (HSPAL) PGY2 Residency OR four years of relevant pharmacy experience,including one year of leadership experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • PharmacyDegree with current state licensure
  • MS, MBS, PharmD and/or residency

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical demands include periods of standing and walking.
  • Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions and communication via telephone.
  • May be required to lift and transport up to ten pounds.
  • Requires normal or corrected vision.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $118,960.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $190,360.00
